Lots of stuff

I'm free!!! I had my last final this morning and submitted my last paper this evening!

Yay! With that relief of stress, I decided to treat my self with this relief of stress.

 Aromatherapy daily deal at Bath and Body. $180 worth of product for $3.30 a piece. Scored!

 Also got myself my own box of doughnuts for free at Krispy Kreme. Scored twice!

Finals Week!

Theres 2 more weeks left of my first semester of college. That means its finals time. As it comes to a end I've just got to say, these last three months have been one of the hardest times of my life.  College has been rough for me. I was a 18 year old girl thrown off to college, all by myself, where I knew no one, nothing about the U of U campus, started a new job, on my own, in a all new city. Through all my freak outs, lack of sleep, and my world almost coming to a end. These hard times of my life, have really allowed me to grown so much. The transition from high school to college is huge, and the way we graduates are just thrown into the real world is crazy. Props to all college freshman, surviving their first semester, its rough...

With two weeks left, that means I'm down to the wire, and i now have the daunting task of finishing  final exams and papers. Its time for fight or flight.

Courage

Well last weekend I did something brave. I went out of my comfort zone and sang in front a large group of judges at a audition for a musical. If anyone knows me, they know that this is a big fear of mine. I absolutely hate singing in front of others and become extremely nervous when I do. This being the exact reasons I became a dancer and not a singer. With my ten seconds of courage I tried my best and got through the song without freaking out. I must not of sung too horrible because the kind judges so willing cast me in the production. Everyone come see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang  February 15th through April 13th at Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley. The show will be good and you can come make fun of me. Heres to being brave and trying something new.

Another Generic Post

I know this is just another one of many other posts about the snow, but I love it. The holiday season has officially arrived. Which means presents, hot coco, and nutcracker time.  If I wasn't working in retail I would be even more excited. Though I'm still pretty darn excited. Working in retail you come to realize how much planning and preparation goes into the holiday shopping season. The countdown is on, 13 more days till black friday. Come visit me at the Bath and Body on Foothill in Salt Lake, I'll be there bright and early  5 am the day after Thanksgiving.

Every time its snows I think of my favorite dance. I wish I could be a little Nutcracker snow fairy and dance around like a little snow flake all the time.

6 more weeks of school this semester. More then half way there and I've for sure been living on a prayer. On top of Midterms, writing papers, working, and dancing 4 to 6 hours a day, I'm a little done and ready for a break. I really hope I don't go crazy before then. Christmas break will be much appreciated this year.

In better news, I got my passport in hand and started my study abroad application today. Hopefully six months from now I'll be jetting on a plane to Rome off to study in the land of the Italians.  Arrivederci America!

Finally Fall.

 This week is fall break (finally).

 That means no school, no dance, no nothing. You can bet I'm going to be lazy.

I plan on sitting, eating, and sleeping...

Reunited with my best friends.  Dash and Hudson are the coolest kids in the county. We started our date night out with kids meals at Chick-Fil-A, and ended it with a candy overload from Maceys and watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Who could ask for a better night.

The College Life.

You Know You're in College When...

1. Quarters are like gold.
2.  Parking is impossible.
3. Every other student is Asian.
4.  Mondays in the library smell like hangovers and coffee.
5. You know many different ways to cook ramen noodles or macaroni and cheese.
6. Your backpack is giving you scoliosis.
7. Instead of falling asleep in class, you stay in bed.
8. You check Facebook more than once a day.
9. You think it’s the weekend on a Wednesday and you don’t know what month it is.
10. Walks down hallways mean awkward eye contact.
11. You'll wait ten minutes for the elevator to avoid the stairs.
12. A canceled class is almost as exciting as Christmas.
13. Taking a nap in the library is perfectly acceptable.
14. Your professors speak English… as a second language.
15. Your teachers swear in class and no one cares.
16. You never get ready.
17. There’s always a “question kid” in at least one of your classes, and you really wish someone would just tell him/her to shut up

The opening ceremonies started 5 days ago and I haven't stopped watching the olympics sense. Although I was a little disappointed with the ceremony, I did in fact get teary eyed when Paul sang "Hey Jude" at the end, not to mention the Queens "skydiving" entrance.  The summer olympics  are my absolute favorite and I have been more then excited.  The diving and gymnastics I have to say are my favorite, but watching them on  the T.V. only makes me wish I was actually there. One day...

Parks, Pandora, and Play Dough

 I got to spend the weekend with this kid. Hudson Troy Barlow (Hudsel is what he prefers). He is the funniest person and my best friend. We spent most of our Saturday afternoon at the discovery park, and man was it hot! But we had a great time.

The album release is getting closer and closer. This pandora station is running at least 12 hours a day and in my dreams I listen to it too.

Yesterday was the perfect sunday. I was babysitting both my cousins while their parents were on vacation so I took them to my parents ward. I never realized how much I missed the sound of crying kids and the coughing elderly. Singles wards are too quiet with too many cell phones. After church and dinner we made home made play dough and it was the life of the party. Super simple and super fun.

Colored Playdough
Materials

• 1 cup water
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup salt
• 1 tablespoon cream of tartar
• Food coloring
• Saucepan
• 1 cup flour

Directions

1. Combine water, oil, salt, cream of tartar, and food coloring in a saucepan and heat until warm.
2. Remove from heat and add flour.
3. Stir, then knead until smooth. The cream of tartar makes this dough last 6 months or longer, so resist the temptation to omit this ingredient if you don't have it on hand.
4. Store this dough in an airtight container or a Ziploc freezer bag.

Bat Bitten

Christopher Nolan has done it once again. I went and saw batman Friday and I have been bitten by the bat (again.) Nolan is so good with every detail in his films, and although Inception is my favorite of his I think this one tops the list. Not to mention these fine people who make it so good...

9-4-12

Alex and Wayne Sermon two of my favorite people in the entire world.  Alex was my dance teacher for 4 years and a phenomenal dancer. Her and her husband Wayne are so funny and cute and can't wait for them to visit Utah in September. Now only 47 more days till Wayne's band releases their new album.  This is going to be good!
